When planning a trip why not consider a Cruise vacation. Having sailed on Celebrity Cruise Lines after reading many cruise reviews, I can highly recommend Celebrity Cruises for a great cruise vacation.

Scuba diving? Exotic cuisines? Going to a spa? Different activities for a vacation you can choose from, but why not do all of them on a Celebrity Cruise vacation.

A Celebrity Cruise is a cost and time efficient vacation. You will not have to go to different destinations to enjoy the above activities. On a Celebrity Cruise vacation all the amenities you want, fitness center, restaurants, swimming pools, casino and gourmet food can be found on a Celebrity cruise vacation.

You do not have to worry about your luggage. You drop if off at the pier and it will be delivered to your stateroom. Unpack once and you're done for the duration of you're your cruise vacation. After you have unpacked go to lunch, one of the best cruising activities is the farewell of delicious dishes in Celebrity cruise dining rooms.

Each Celebrity Cruise vacation has its own restaurant administrated by the finest chefs in the world. Best of all, every meal and snack are included in your Celebrity Cruise package.

In every port tourist guides are available available to assist you. Take a tour on a Celebrity cruise lines guided excursion. You do not have to worry about your children; there are several activities, which will keep them preoccupied while you are enjoying your own activity.

Taking a Celebrity cruise vacation enables you to enjoy every minute of your vacation and frees you from worrying about where to eat, what to do and how much it will cost.

All cruise lines offers these services to their passengers, however Celebrity Cruise Lines does it just a little bit better. Celebrity Cruise Line is one of the best cruise lines available in today's market. They offer competitive packages and are just one step above other cruise lines. They have onboard upscale boutiques and entertainment ala Las Vegas, which was created and designed exclusively for Celebrity Cruise Lines by Cirque du Soleil.

You can try your luck at the casino or even purchase some fine art at the onboard auction. Late in the evening check out The Bar at the Edge of the Earth, an exotic lounge provided exclusively by Celebrity Cruise Lines.

If you feel the need to relax, visit the famous Aqua-Spa by Elemis. There, you will experience a deluxe manicure, facial treatments, and a relaxing massage. Celebrity Cruise Lines also has an onboard acupuncture center if you want to feel refreshed and invigorated. You can book spa packages before you go on your cruise vacation over the internet

Your kids will also enjoy their cruise vacation on a Celebrity Cruises. Celebrity offers the X-Club Youth Program exclusively for your kids. It has activities and entertainment for specific age groups.

A professional staff administers all of these activities, which include science and nature exploration, treasure hunts, talents shows, dinner parties, and more. Celebrity Cruises have reserved areas on the ship for younger seafaring passengers such as the Shipmates Fun Factory, teen center, and pools. This allows your kids to enjoy their own activities while you are off enjoying yours.

Celebrity Cruise Lines has designed its ships to accommodate mobility-impaired passengers. There are staff members that are always ready to attend to any of their special needs. Celebrity has an onboard clinic staffed by a licensed doctor and nurse who can speak foreign languages

Food on a cruise vacation is available 24/7 in cafeterias and dining areas. You can also request room service if you want to have a romantic dinner with your spouse. We did this while we did a European cruise and the dinner came with a white linen table cloth, china, silver and crystal glasses. It was really beautiful and I have never experienced that on other cruise lines. There are formal dinners in the famous Celebrity Cruise Lines dining rooms two or three times during the cruise vacation, depending on the length of your cruise travel. If you do not wish to participate in this cruise activity there are casual restaurants that you can visit instead.

Celebrity Cruise Lines has a variety of itineraries from which to choose. Some of them are very exotic like the Galapagos or Australia. No matter which itinerary you choose you will always feel pampered on a Celebrity Cruise vacation. Celebrity Cruise Lines staff always go the extra mile to please you. Read some other cruise reviews and see if they do not agree with me.

Enjoy cruising with Celebrity Cruise Lines!

A Cruise Review To Envision The Cruise Ship Experience

If you want to go on a vacation with great options, you might consider taking a cruise. If you have never been cruise ship before and you are not sure whether it would be perfect for you, read on. The cruise ship experience will be much clearer after you read this cruise review.

This article will not be endorsing or promoting a particular cruise line, but will just give you some glimpses of what cruise lines are offering to cruise passengers. This includes cruise destinations, various ranges of prices and amenities available.

In some cases cruise lines will prove an option of a pre or post-cruise stay at a hotel in the town where you embark or disembark. This is especially beneficial when you travel great distances to board your cruise ship. By using this option it actually affords you the ability to add on an extra port to explore before your cruise ship experience is over.

For instance, if your departure point is at Los Angeles, and you choose this option you will have time to visit famous places there such as Hollywood (the famous walk of stars) or Venice Beach (a funky hip beach town).

On the day of the cruise departure, you will be brought to the pier where your cruise ship is waiting for you. It will take about 45 minutes to an hour to check in your luggage, get your boarding pass and board the ship. Your room steward will meet you and this is when you should tell the steward if you have any special needs or requests. For instance, I like two bath towels and a bucket of ice each afternoon. They want to make you happy so do not be shy.

It may take a couple of hours for your luggage to arrive so grab some lunch and then tour your cruise ship. Make any beauty and spa appointments now, on some days, like formal nights appointments sell out. Consider making these appointments on port days, especially if you have been to that port before. The salon / spa offer discounts if you book on those days. Roam around the first afternoon to see what delights are in store for you during your cruise ship experience.

You can enjoy several relaxing moments in the spa. Celebrity has what they call a Thalassotherapy pool, Princess has a swim against the current pool and Carnival has the giant slide into the outside pool. If you feel that you want to burn up some calories after all the wonderful meals, go to the fitness center which is equipped with modern state of the art equipment. Or you may feel like strolling around the promenade in that fresh salt air.

There are swimming pools aboard, both for adults and kids. Deck chairs and benches are also provided if you just want to watch your children enjoying the water in the pool.

Entertainment is also present in your cruising vacation. A state-of-the-art theater is provided for on-board entertainment. There will be Broadway like productions and children-oriented programs that are new and different everyday ..

In case you are looking for a different entertainment, you can go to several theme bars or disco with live music open until the wee hours of the morning.

If you want to try your luck during your cruise travel, then there is an on-board casino where it features different games similar to what you see in Las Vegas.

There is a shopping center where you can find personal items and other things that you need while you are on-board. Here's one cruise tip, try to pack things like Rolaids, bandages and toothpaste from home; they are expensive on the cruise ship

Library and recreation centers are also found on the cruise ship. Almost all cruise ships have a lending library and most have a room for playing bridge.

Food is one of the vital services offered by cruise lines. The best chefs from around the world are hired to prepare and cook excellent meals to ensure that your on-board dining experience will be truly memorable.

There are formal dining areas, which have a formal dress code on certain nights.

If you are looking for more informal style of dining, there are snack bars, cafeteria, and a pizza parlor on-board, which generally are opened for meals on extended hours. Many times the cruise lines close down one half of their Lido café (this is where they have the buffet lunch and dinner) to offer a casual place to dine but they still use a menu and servers. All of the food, no matter which style you choose are covered in the cruise prices.

Cruise itineraries generally include stops at different ports each or every other day, depending on the schedule of the cruise ship you chose. You have the option of either staying aboard the ship or you may disembark to join other passengers on a guided tour. You are also free to explore on your own at each stop, but make sure you know the time of the ship.

Booking a cruise is simple. To get the best advice on cruise ships use the services of a travel agency. Read cruise reviews that you can find online to familiarize yourself on what each cruise line offers. Or, if you are already savvy to cruising, log on to the official site of a particular cruise line to check on itineraries and prices.

You will be provided information about destinations and cruise packages that are affordable. Discounts and special offers are also available for passengers.

Hopefully, this cruise review will give you some insight into what delights you will find during your cruise ship experience.

Happy Cruising!

Our most recent cruise was aboard the Princess Cruise Lines' ship the Golden. Our itinerary included the tropical Southern Caribbean. This overview is one article in a series of our Golden Princess Southern Caribbean cruise review. First, let me start by explaining why we chose this particular cruise.

We had a very special birthday to celebrate. This celebration was to include our children (in their mid to late 20's) as well as our parents (up to 85 years old). We wanted a cruise line that would cater to the activity needs of our kids and still be elegant enough to be enjoyable to our parents.

Princess Cruise Lines appeared to be a natural fit. The date for our cruise was somewhat fixed in that the birth date had to be among the cruise dates. Our preference was to take a Southern Caribbean Cruise which included Aruba, St. Louis. Thomas and St. Kitts. It just so happened that the magnificent Golden Princess was sailing that itinerary on the required dates.

Our cruise started from the port of San Juan, Puerto Rico. It meant a longer lengthy flight with one stop-over to reach San Juan. The flight segments were always very smooth and uneventful. From the airport, we had a short bus ride to the cruise terminal.

There were the usual line-ups to clear customs and check-in with Princess in the terminal. This seemed to pass quickly enough considering some of the other cruises we have enjoyed.

The Golden Princess had its inaugural cruise in May of 2001. That meant that she was 5 years old at the time of our cruise. Having been on a newer cruise ship, her age was somewhat evident to us but her majesty overshadowed her age.

The cruise was a very smooth sail when compared to other Caribbean cruises we have been on. With so many stops on a one week cruise, the distances between ports made for a mostly leisurely run.

The ports of call were all interesting. Some were still rebuilding after hurricane damage. We are normally 'beach babies' wanting to enjoy the sun and surf as often as possible, but on this cruise we went to a beach only twice and one of those times was right at the cruise port. Our ports of call included San Juan, St. Thomas, St. Kitts, Grenada, Isla Margarita, and Aruba.

We found this cruise to be rather 'aggressive' in that we were in port so quickly and so often that we never really saw the entire ship. Of course we mad a point to try to see all of the common areas but obviously missed a few.

The weather, although overcast with light rain a couple of days, was great. Mid to high 80's every day is what we went on a sunny vacation for.

The staterooms we chose were balcony rooms. All were on the same side of the ship with two groups of three attached balconies. This was great. With the doors between balconies open, we could congregate as we would at a cottage or resort.

The birthday celebration was wonderful as well. Room service delivered veggies and dip, fruit trays, cheese trays nachos and dip and beverages to our stateroom. There was ample room on our balcony for the eleven of us to sit and enjoy all of this food.

In all, this cruise ship was not the most elegant that we have been on, but it did have all of the amenities and activities required to suit our broad age range. It certainly sold the kids on cruising vacations.

Reviewing a cruise line is not easy as most people on board are having fun, and on a cruise people generally tend to overlook petty shortcomings. Moreover, most existing cruises have been around for more than a decade, and since they have already perfected most of their shortcomings. Some Alaska cruises that have consistently been at the top of the savvy cruiser's list are those provided by Royal Caribbean, Princess, Celebrity, and Carnival.

The Royal Caribbean line has won great accolades for its ship Radiance of the Seas. Beginning with the reception and the checking in, everything is systematically organized. It stops at Juneau, Skagway, Hubbard Glaciers, and Ketchikan during its seven-day cruise. Shopping in Juneau is a memorable experience, as is kayaking in Ketchikan and the glacier exploration at Hubbard Glaciers. There are several onboard activities – Broadway performances, a silhouette act and a comedy act as a farewell show on the last night. The only drawback may be the large number of people on board – about 2,500 of them – which may not be appealing to the peace-loving cruiser.

All ships of the Princess cruise line have got rave reviews from cruisers. They come highly recommended by cruise agencies as well. They follow the same itinerary as the Royal Caribbean and have an excellent and knowledgeable staff. The great attractions of Princess ships are the dark wood mahogany furniture in some of their cabins and the ship memorabilia available for sale. The dining rooms are arranged forward, and the theater seats are thoughtfully arranged to provide all with an unobstructed view, free from poles and other obstacles. The Princess line is a very experienced line and offers customized cruises to its passengers.

Carnival and Celebrity both rate high on the cruiser's list. They have reliable ships and staff and good outside balconies, which provide excellent views of natural scenery.

Among the small ship category, Clipper, American Safari, and Cruise West are considered to be great cruise lines. They provide the adventure seeker a host of activities to do while on the cruise.

Cruise ships are huge and have a large crew to cater to every individual traveler's needs. Hospitality rates high on cruises, and travel agencies offer vacation packages that are costly, but at the same time, offer a luxurious once in a lifetime experience. Many consider vacationing on the high seas to be the most romantic kind of vacation, and cruise liners are striving to prove them true with elegant and romantic settings aboard ship.

Most ships are equipped with swimming pools, music and dancing in the stateroom, casinos and special parties and entertainment shows. Some have entertainment for children. Service, ambience and cabin comfort are all part of a well-maintained ship. The crew must ensure that the passengers have no cause for complaint. Fitness centers, gymnasiums or other health related equipment must be state-of-art models and be in good working condition. Cleanliness along with subtle romantic touches is essential in providing the right atmosphere for an enjoyable, relaxing vacation.

Cruise packages also include excursions at different ports that the ship docks in. A tour guide can lead these excursions or they can be “freestyle” allowing passengers to tour on their own. Tourists not interested in going ashore can laze around on board, enjoying a pleasant day by the pool.

Overall rating for the ships include a passengers experience as a whole and comments on amenities like excursions, ambience, behavior of crew and other services. Reviews by passengers at the end of the cruise help give an overview of the ships performance, and what needs to be fixed.

A good review would be a tourist who felt they got a great trip for the money and would definitely sail again. “Worth it!” is the review that any cruise ship staff loves to hear.

You're finally doing it … you're going on an Alaskan cruise. Packing for normal trips can be a real hassle. But when going on an Alaskan cruise, it can be even tougher because of the colder weather. Here are some general suggestions to make this task a little easier to handle.

Casual clothing – You will want to take some casual clothes for the daytime. This will include jeans, cords, turtlenecks, and sweaters.

Dress in layers – If you dress in layers, you can add or subtract layers as the weather dictates.

Outerwear – You probably will not need a heavy down coat if you dress in layers, however, you will need a jacket.

Dinner wear – You will want to dress up for dinner each night. If you stick to a core wardrobe color, you can mix and match. Use bold accessories such as pins, necklaces, and scarves to change up the look.

Shoes – Try to plan your wardrobe around one basic color so that your shoes will match everything. Of course, dinner shoes will be different from every-day shoes.

Other Accessories – Try to keep jewelry to a minimum. You do not want to lose your favorite diamond necklace over the railing of the ship! So just take a few, inexpensive pieces, and also use scarves to brighten up outfits.

Misc – Remember to take your camera and binoculars. Do not forget the film and extra batteries. An umbrella may also be needed.

By packing this way, you may be able to get everything into one suitcase and a backpack that you can carry with you on the plane. You'll be prepared and worry free!

Cruise vessels for adults fun only? Adults only cruise ships can be an attractive for young couple, swingers couples, retired couples, singles cruisers or for parents without their children. But the truth is that this is just a myth. Anyone people can find their adult fun on board if they follow the certain rules.

There are no official adults only cruise ships.

People with children who needs some adult fun or privacy, can use some of the options for kids on board – game rooms, activities or events. You can even use babysitting services and have sex or fun with your partner.

There are also some adult only areas on some ships.

Example of some areas for adults only: Exact areas reserved for adults are different for every single cruise ship, many of them are known as adults only even if they are not designated so.

Solarium or Private pool … some cruise liners like Royal Caribbean Cruises company offers one pool for adults only in a different separated area.

Spa … only few children enjoy and use spa procedures like sauna etc.

Other areas you can use: Bars, Reservation restaurants, Late night comedy shows.

Individuals who truly want a child-free experience should specifically plan their voyage with as many adult options as possible. Choosing a luxury cruise rather than a mainstream cruise line is a good first step: many families, especially those with young children, are unlikely to opt for these more expensive lines.

If you like to have your adults only cruise holiday you can achieve that by planning it with a choice of good cruise ship cabin which is away from children areas or family cabins.

Cruise Suites – A Review of the Best

Many of us can only dream of spending a fortnight in a top suite on our next cruise, but with the market becoming increasingly price competitive, we thought now would be a good time to compile a countdown of the ultimate luxury accommodations at sea!

There are a few things you'd expect to come as standard as a suite guest, such as a handy butler and pillow menu, but we have hunted high and low for those that go a whole lot further.

Our first entry comes from a P & O's Aurora. At 76,000 tons she is no super liner, yet still manages to have one of the most impressive suites to be found at sea. Situated at the very front of the ship are two exclusive Penthouse Suites. Spanning through two decks, the 937sqft suites consist of two balconies, a sweeping spiral staircase, dining room, living area, Jacuzzi bath and a choice of a baby grand piano or a library, but most striking of all, the area is highlighted by floor to ceiling window and patio doors providing fantastic sea views.

At a modest 360sqft including balcony, you may wonder how Costas Samsara Suites made it into our top countdown. The answer is; size is not everything. These suites may not have enough room to throw your own party, but they do have direct access to the largest wellness center at sea, covering more than 2000sq meters over two decks.

Suite guests receive a “welcome ritual” package which includes daily entry to the Thermal baths and Thalasso Pool, two spa treatments of their choice, two fitness or meditation lessons, access to relaxation area plus table reservations at the exclusive Samsara Restaurant which serves a range of wellness foods. A stay in a Samsara Suite pretty much guarantees a truly relaxing cruising
experience, and certainly, one where you may just go home a few pounds lighter than you arrived!

Celebritys Millennium class ships have dominated the prestigious Condé Nast readers' awards over the past four years, achieving the top four ranked ships in the world.

With that in mind, you would expect a celebrity suite to feature as one of our top spots.
And it is well deserving of its place with a suite that is over 1400sqft, impressive enough, however, when this has a 1098sqft surrounding balcony providing 180-degree ocean views attached to it, makes this pretty outstanding!

The two suites, located at the very back of the ship on Penthouse Deck, feature separate living and dining areas, baby grand piano, exercise equipment and a marble bathroom with whirlpool bath. The suite is well equipped with entertainment facilities such as TVs, DVD player, music center, fax machine and internet station. Your suite experience with Celebrity starts at boarding with priority embarkation and welcome champagne.

Runners up in our countdown are Cunard. Awarding the largest of the famous trio – the Queen Mary 2 -a liner featuring the most lavish suites afloat. Lucky guests accommodating either the Balmoral or Sandringham Duplex Suites can enjoy no less than 2249sqft of luxury. Spread across two floors, you can expect to find an oversized balcony, marble bathroom and expansive living area downstairs. This truly is a home away from home.

Cunard have also reserved areas of the ship for suite guest's access only, the Queens Grill for single seating dining and the Queens Grill Lounge – so preventing any inconvenient encounters with less cabin accomodators! (Or maybe just a nice quiet area for suite guests to enjoy)

We are near approaching the end of our countdown, and so far we have seen some of the largest, most luxurious and innovative accommodation at sea. So, it has to be something pretty spectacular to be awarded our top spot.

How about a 5750sqft three bedroom, three bathroom area that can sleep up to six but entertain up to 100 people? Announcing Norwegian Cruise Lines Garden Villas!
A collection of 10 unique suites located up on their own deck, each with private garden, sundeck and hot tub with alfresco dining and exclusive access to a courtyard area with private pool for you and your neighbors only.

Each contemporary, oversized villa has a lavishly decorated living room, dining room and an incredible bathroom, all framed with windowed walls for amazing sea views.

So there is, in our opinion, the best accommodation currently available available sea. And if your budget does not quite stretch? Well, what harm is a little indulgent day dreaming?

Cruise Ship Review – Cheap Cruise Deals Which Are Not So Cheap

When reading any cruise ship review you've got to keep an open mind about the benefits of the cruise in review. It's quite easy to get carried away with an excited author's version of their cruise experience because what works for one person may not work for another. Also, the review could have been completely biased with the author having a vested interest.

In the final analysis, a cruise ship review worth any salt should provide both the good and the bad of the cruise experience from ship facilities to staff hospitality.

Carnival Glory

In a recent cruise to the eastern Caribbean on Carnival Glory, the experience was very satisfying from a relaxation point-of-view yet there were some areas which were a little concerned.

Yes, the 7 night 7 day cruise was a bargain at $ 950 for two people yet the cost of staying on board the ship left a little to be desired.

For example, purchasing those memory-filled photos provided an expensive exercise with the largest prints selling for almost $ 22. For a package of seven, the customer would have to fork out almost $ 150. There were smaller sizes available yet no discounts at all for the more popular larger versions was a little disappointing.

Another disappointing aspect was the cost of internet access on the ship. At 75 cents per minute, it turned most people off and while packages of 250 minutes for $ 100 were available, it still appeared extraively high.

The casino is a popular venue on a ship and the slot machines attract plenty of patronage. The one and two cent machines generally attract the most interest however, they were few in numbers and were outnumbered clearly by the 25 cent and higher machines. For someone looking to play them for a little fun and recreation, then it could become and expensive exercise.

Carnival Glory Hospitality

This cruise ship review is not about highlighting the negatives. The hospitality was first class and the staff fantastic. That's what you would expect on a floating resort. It certainly made the experience worthwhile despite some of the points made above.

When assessing a cruise ship review make sure you get a cross section of reviews before making any decision to book a ship. While an overall price may seem appealing just be aware that there are costs associated with traveling on a cruise ship and if you're working on a tight budget, they can affect your hip pocket.

Sovereign of the Seas

The Royal Caribbean ship the Sovereign of the Seas was recently written up with fairly favorite reviews. The food on the ship was touted to be delicious and varied. Choices ranged from prime rib to escargot to pizza. If you like to eat, it seems that the Sovereign of the Seas is a wonderful place to spend a week or two. The only problem you might have is gaining a little weight.

There were some crowding issues expressed by the reviewers. The cabins, it looks, were too small. The ship's cinema was also fitted with a small screen, and the seating was limited. However, these are not major inconveniences on a cruise, because you do not ordinarily go on one to hide in your cabin or in a theater watching movies.

Activities are well-represented with art auctions, Broadway shows, casinos, and comedy clubs. There is also rock climbing, ping-pong, and basketball for those who want to move around a bit. Group activities such as bingo and organized games are also popular. You can relax in one of the two pools or in a hot tub.

A Caribbean cruise that ended up in the Bahamas had its first stop at Royal Caribbean's private island, CocoCay. You could take excursions to the island from the ship, reaching the island from the ship's anchor point by way of small boats called tenders. There were all kinds of beach activities on the island, such as parasailing, snorkeling, scuba diving, swimming, or just sunbathing.

On this island and the other small islands where the ship made stops, vendors were aggressive in trying to get you to buy their goods and services. One of the common services offered was for the locals to braid your hair.

A Royal Caribbean cruise review telling about a Bahamas cruise is not complete without information about the stop in Nassau. The ship had all kinds of shore excursions available for those who wanted to take tours of the city and see the sights. The cruise line discouraged people from taking local tours, but some of the local tours were worth taking. The only thing to remember is that you have to get back to the ship in time.

Read a Royal Caribbean cruise review or more if you are interested in taking this cruise. You can find reviews on the particular ship you want to sail on, and even cruises with similar itineraries. It is well worth the time spent.
